Is a chicken a good pet?

It really depends on the chicken. They have different personalities just like other pets. In my experience, the best pet chickens I've had have been the chickens that were hatched and raised by me or other humans. But that doesn't really apply to roosters, some of them can be just plain mean no matter how they were raised.
